Our Expansion · Now Open

From 6 operatories to 15, right here on Thomson Drive

Our newly remodeled lower level is now open. Same address, same team, same phone number, and a lot more room to take care of you.

Growing with the Hill City

For years, this office ran on six operatories. Six chairs, one hallway, and a schedule that filled up faster than we liked to admit. As more Lynchburg families found us, and as families from Forest to Madison Heights started making the drive, those six chairs started to feel small. Patients were waiting longer for routine visits than they should have, and on busy weeks we had to say "next week" to people in pain who needed to hear "this afternoon."

So we grew. Instead of opening a second location across town, we stayed put at 1934 Thomson Dr and built down. Our fully remodeled lower level is now open, and with it the office has gone from 6 operatories to 15. It is the same building you already know, with the same parking lot out front and the same faces at the desk. There is just a lot more of it now.

We want to be clear about why we did this. It was not about being the biggest office in town. It was about the schedule. Every chair we added is another appointment we can say yes to, another emergency we can fit in today instead of tomorrow, and another family that does not have to wait weeks for a cleaning.

We are finishing the last details and will share a full look at the remodeled space here.

What 15 operatories means for you

  • Shorter waits for routine care. More chairs means more hygiene appointments every day, so cleanings and checkups land on the calendar sooner, at times that actually work for your family.
  • More same-day emergency capacity. We hold same-day slots for dental emergencies Monday to Friday, and the expansion gives us more of them. When you call with a broken tooth or a toothache that will not quit, the answer is far more likely to be "come in today."
  • Expanded implant capacity. Our in-house dental implant program now has dedicated room to grow, so implant consultations, placements, and follow-ups fit into the schedule without crowding out everything else.
  • Expanded Invisalign capacity. More chairs also means more room for Invisalign scans, check-ins, and refinements, the short visits that keep aligner treatment moving on schedule.

Planned in 3D, right in the building

The expansion is not just square footage. Our in-house cone beam CT scanner builds a full 3D model of your jaw in a single pass, which is how Dr. Kim and Dr. Azevedo plan implants, evaluate difficult extractions, and get answers a flat X-ray cannot give. Having it under our own roof means no separate imaging appointment across town and no waiting on records. You can read more about how it works on our cone beam 3D imaging page.

Same team, same promises

Nothing about how we practice changed with the square footage. You still get plain-English explanations, a clear quote before treatment, and nothing irreversible without your OK. Our phones are still answered 24/7 by our smart answering system, which gets you scheduled any hour of the day, with treatment during office hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. And patients without insurance still have the Virginia Dental Club, $279 a year for 20% off treatment.

Lynchburg gave this practice a reason to grow, and we are proud the growth happened here, on Thomson Drive, in the building our patients already know how to find. If you have not visited since the remodel, come see it. We think you will like what we did with the place.
